The Green Bay Packers would want nothing more to forget this season. Either that or perhaps hope for a complete turnaround in terms of consistency.
The Packers offered fans a glimmer of hope when they broke a five-game losing streak in their victory against the Cowboys.
However, those hopes slowly dwindled when they followed up on that victory with a 17-27 defeat against the Titans. Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers is surely feeling Davante Adams’ absence. While his injured thumb has been affecting his performance, the QB’s performance has been a downhill slope all season.
The former MVP has also exhibited visible signs of displeasure regarding head coach Matt LaFleur’s playcalling. Has LaFleur made a bad judgment call by relying too heavily on Rodgers to execute his offensive vision?
Green Bay Packers Rookie Receiver makes a brutally honest remark
Christian Watson may be a rookie, but his lack of experience in the league doesn’t prevent him from seeing reality.
Speaking to reporters about Thanksgiving games as a rookie, Watson was asked if he is thankful for the way their season has turned over the last few games.
The rookie gave a hesitant but straightforward reply. Watson mentioned he’d be more thankful when the team starts winning more games. He said, “[I’m] thankful for sure, I mean I know I’m going to be a lot more thankful you know. . .when we’re winning more football games, but I think, you know if we do everything that we need to do going forward I think we’re going to win a lot more football games the rest of the season.”
Fans will definitely agree with Watson’s statements. Despite the team’s poor performance, Watson has been pulling his weight in the last few games. In their bout against the Cowboys, Watson had three touchdowns. He also had four catches for 107 yards.
Do the Packers have a shot at redemption?
The Green Bay Packers have a big game ahead of them. They will take on the mighty Philadelphia Eagles who have the best record this season, standing at an impressive 9-1.
The Eagles are carrying the weight of a shocking defeat against the Washington Commanders, who broke their undefeated record. They will be looking to avenge their loss with a victory against the Packers.
Do the Packers stand a chance against the Eagles? Aaron Rodgers will have to focus on winning games to keep the Packers’ playoff hopes alive. Currently, at 4-7, the Packers have slipped to third place in the NFC North, with the Vikings and Lions ahead of them.
Will the Packers have to kiss their playoff chances goodbye and focus on building a stronger foundation for next season? Or will Aaron Rodgers pull off a miracle that can save the Packers’ season?
