It’s been a tough week for the Green Bay Packers. After a rough loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers called out some of his teammates for their “mental mistakes”.
With that kind of talk coming from the starting quarterback — who happens to be the NFL’s reigning back-to-back MVP — it would be understandable if the Packers’ locker room was full of tension this week.
Friday locker rooms have become entertaining. Jordan Love and AJ Dillon are seeing who can toss an empty water bottle in the trash can from about 10 yards out more often. Jarran Reed is singing Dirt Road Anthem. Doesn’t seem like a tight group.

But that doesn’t seem to be the case at all. Based on a tweet from USA Today’s Ryan Wood, it appears that Green Bay’s locker room is “loose” heading into a huge showdown with the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Wood noted that the team was joking around and enjoying themselves in the locker room on Friday.
I’m sure some fans will think that a team with a 3-4 record shouldn’t be having fun right now, but I couldn’t disagree more.
The last thing the Packers need to do right now is to start pressing. If they do that, this tailspin they’re seemingly in is only going to get worse.
Aaron Rodgers says on @PatMcAfeeShow that the Packers are routinely making double-digit mental errors in games this season when, in past seasons, that number was, at most, seven.
“Guys who are making too many mistakes shouldn’t be playing. Gotta start cutting some reps.”

Green Bay needs to play loose against the Bills on Sunday to have a chance. And based on what we’re hearing from the reporters in the locker room, it sounds like that will be the case when the Packers take the field in Buffalo.
