As we all know by now, if the Kansas City Chiefs were to face the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game, it will be held at a neutral site because the Chiefs are the number one seed, but the Bills have one less game played.
Had they finished their game against the Chiefs, they could have had the tiebreaker over the Chiefs. So, this was the easiest way to make it fair for both teams.
We heard the neutral site news a week ago, but they never announced where it would be. The Chiefs and Chiefs fans have been patiently waiting to see where it would be, as most people expect them to make it back to the Championship game.
The NFL announced on Thursday that the game, if it were to be between the Buffalo Bills and the Chiefs, would be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, playing in the Falcons’ beautiful stadium.
Atlanta is as close as the NFL could get to making the location neutral. For Bills fans, they would have to travel 887 miles, while Chiefs fans will have to travel 56 fewer miles at 831.
If there is an AFC Championship Game between the #Chiefs and #Bills, the neutral site will be Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the NFL announced.

I personally love this decision by the NFL and I think it will only help make the game more exciting without having to worry about weather conditions, as seeing the stadium is a dome.
