Bengals QB Joe Burrow has a request for fans this week

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had a message this week for Cincy fans ahead of the start of the playoffs.

The Bengals will host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday for the second week in a row.

And Burrow is hoping that Cincinnati fans will provide a challenging atmosphere for the Ravens.

The former LSU star told reporters this week that he felt like the atmosphere before the game against the Buffalo Bills on January 2 was one of the best he’s seen in the NFL.

That game was canceled due to the on-field collapse of Bills safety Damar Hamlin, but the impact the fans made before the game was postponed left an impression on Burrow.

“I know the fans will come out, ready to go,” said Burrow on Wednesday. “That atmosphere on that Monday night game that we didn’t, unfortunately, end up playing. That was the best atmosphere pregame I’ve ever been a part of. So we’re gonna need that again on Sunday.”

“Do or die, that’s where you like to be,” added Burrow. “In those moments, I feel like you know is where I kind of make my best plays, just where I’m comfortable. And these moments are moments that you remember. You don’t always remember Week 6 games on the road. You remember these playoff games, these home night playoff games, and so we’re excited.”

It certainly sounds like Burrow is ready to go. And he’s hoping the fans are ready to go, too.

Based on what we’ve seen from Bengals fans recently, I have no doubt that Paycor Stadium will be absolutely electric on Sunday night.
